Attorney Marci M. Aldi, AssociateAttorney Marci M. Aldi, Associate

Marci Middletown Aldi graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Law Administration and a Minor in English.  Marci was a Deans' List Student who received the University's Presidential Award for Leadership and a Connecticut General Assembly Award in recognition of her Legislative Internship.  Marci graduated from Western New England School of Law in Springfield, MA with a Juris Doctorate.  She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut.

Marci came to the firm with a strong background in litigation, insurance defense and real estate.  She is currently responsible for the firm's Workers' compensation, Real Estate, Probate and Family Law cases.  Marci is dedicated to caring, human approach in zealously advocating for her clients.

Eugene L. DeFronzo is a native of Waterbury. He attended Woodrow Wilson Grammar School and Crosby High School. He graduated from the University of Michigan with honors and the University of Virginia Law School. He served more than 10 years as an officer in the United States Army Reserve. He was admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut in 1960 and the US Federal Court in 1962. He has practiced law in Waterbury continuously from 1961, concentrating on personal injury law. In that capacity, he has settled thousands of cases for thousands of clients, the settlements totaling millions of dollars.
 
He is a dedicated long distance runner. He has run over 300 marathons (26.2 miles) including many ultra marathons (more than 26.2 miles) and holds many of the New England records for the marathon. He has run a marathon in every state almost five times and one in every providence and territory of Canada twice - both are New England records.
 
He is devoted to giving his clients fast and efficient service and treating them so that when they visit his office for a case they feel they have come home.

Janis Malec received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut. After graduation, she worked both as a staff nurse and as an Assistant Head Nurse in four area hospitals. While continuing to work as a nurse, Janis earned a Master's degree in Child Welfare from Saint Joseph College. Attorney Malec graduated from Western New England College School of Law in 1996. Since that time, she has worked in the area of litigation, with an emphasis on plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Attorney Malec is admitted to practice law in all the courts in the state of Connecticut, the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court, District of Connecticut.
 
Attorney Malec's 12 years experience as an RN and her over 10 years in the practice of law have lead to successful negotiations of fair settlements for dozens of clients. Janis has tried several cases to a jury with successful results. In addition to her practice in the area of personal injury, Attorney Malec has represented nurses and other professionals before various licensing boards in the state. Recently, Attorney Malec was part of a successful Grass Roots effort to change the law regarding veterinary practice in order to allow for myotherapy in horses.
 
Attorney Malec has been a guest lecturer for the CT Nurses Association, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (CT Chapter) and the National Business Institute.
 
Janis is a member of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA), The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, CT Chapter (CT-TAANA) and the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) She served on the Hartford County Bar Association Legal-Medical Committee and serve a two year term on the Board of Directors for CT-TAANA. Janis resides in Wethersfield with her husband, John and her daughter, Alexandra. She is an elected member of the Board of Education an is active in many civic organizations. She is also a Justice of the Peace.

Gina M. GalulloAttorney Gina M. Galullo, Associate

Gina graduated cum laude from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. There she was a Dean's List student, a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and Vice President of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society of Political Science majors.

Gina received her Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She received the CALI Excellence for The Future Award for class performance in Criminal Law in 2006.

Ivelisse A. Varrone, formally known as Ivelisse A. Cruz, is the office manager and Attorney Defronzo’s legal assistant. She has been working at the firm for over 13 years. She attended Wilby High School in Waterbury. She has a Bachelor of Science from Teikyo Post University and a Masters in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University.

She was appointed by Governor Jodi Rell to be a public member for the Board of Examiners of Nursing. She is also a Justice of the Peace.

Ivelisse has always been interested in the law and feels very useful helping others, especially the Hispanic community. She is able to assist Spanish-speaking clients since she speaks, writes and reads Spanish.
